For Aiyla’s first birthday, we were tasked with bringing a soft, elegant butterfly theme to life – perfect for a little girl’s milestone celebration. The brief called for something delicate yet impactful, so we carefully curated a design in shades of blush pink, rose gold, and ivory to evoke a whimsical, garden-like atmosphere.
The setup featured layered arch panels with custom vinyl lettering announcing “Aiyla Turns One”, adorned with a cascading balloon garland incorporating chrome finishes, fresh florals, and strategically placed filler details for a lush finish. The centrepiece was a beautifully crafted oversized butterfly prop, designed to bring a sense of charm and fantasy to the backdrop.
A welcome sign greeted guests at the entrance, also styled with matching balloons and florals to tie the look together. While the venue offered limited setup space, we adjusted proportions and layout to maximise visual impact without crowding the room.
This project beautifully showcased how small design elements, when thoughtfully combined, can transform any space into a magical experience. It was a joy to celebrate Aiyla’s first year with a theme that felt both playful and elegant.
